Proposal for Doctor Flue, inc.

Welcome Back.

This is the whole plan in one place. It starts by putting the old doctorflue.com back online while we build the new one, so the pages that used to rank can start earning again. We repair the redirects and the tracking, put your articles back on the blog, and take your Google Ads back under management month-to-month. One plan, one flat affordable monthly price.

01 · Where We Stand

Where we stand.

The review we sent in June pulled from seven separate sources: four of your own accounts and three outside services that track where you show up in Google. They all found the same pattern, and you have those numbers already, so we won't repeat them here.

February through May each came in below the same month a year earlier, and May was the weakest single month in the review. Most of that traces back to how the new site launched. Every page got a new URL, and the old URLs were never connected to the new ones, so Google lost track of pages that had ranked for years. Your blog posts were never rebuilt at all, and eleven of your twelve best pages were blog posts. The tracking that told your ads account which clicks turned into phone calls stopped on January 30.

You said the new site felt more modern than the old one, but that it did not wow you. It also cut your monthly cost, which is why you made the change. What came with it is a slower answer when you need something done, and seven months of lost ground.

You own the domain, the content and the ads account, so nothing needs negotiating with anyone first. You told us the monthly number you need to stay under, and this plan fits it.

Your current site as it renders today. The photo of the vans is sitting on top of the paragraph beside it, so several lines end up buried underneath, where a customer can't read them.
02 · Where We're Going

Where we're going.

Recovery starts by bringing your old website back. Just redirecting the old URLs to the new pages would not do it, because the content that earned your rankings is gone too. So we restore the old site in full, its pages and the words on them, the way the search results still remember them. We then retake control of the domain, put that older version back up on our own hosting, and the rankings you lost start climbing back within your first weeks.

That older site holds your ground while we build the new one alongside it. When the new site is ready, we redirect every old URL to its matching new page, so everything you recovered carries straight across instead of dropping again at the switch.

Four things should be true of your site a year from now…

Your Pages and Rankings Are Restored

The old pages go back up with their content, at the URLs Google already knows. The rankings they spent years earning start counting again, and this is the first thing we do, inside your first two weeks.

Your Articles Come Back

Your articles did more than bring in readers. Each one linked to your service and city pages, which told Google those pages mattered, so when the articles came down the pages they supported slipped too. We add back all of the original blog articles into the proposed sitemap, including the 11 that brought in the most traffic.

You Reach a Real Person

Ask for a change and our team will make it with the speed and quality you’ve come to expect. Your plan carries 10 hours per year for updates, fixes and questions, tracked to the minute and rolled forward.

Your Ad Budget Works Harder

Between February and May your ad spend ran about 60% above the same months a year earlier. The calls did not follow, which is what pushed the cost of each one up. We go through the searches you're paying for, block the ones wasting money, write ads for the season you're in, and ultimately, optimize your campaign to make the most of your investment.

03 · Proposed Sitemap

Everything you have now, plus what was deleted.

You already have this structure. We built it with you the first time, and the current site kept most of it. What it left out was your service-area pages and the articles that used to fill your blog, and both come back here. Where an old URL still works we keep it, and where a better one replaces it we 301 redirect the old URL to the new, so the rankings those pages earned keep counting either way. You serve dozens of communities across Michigan and Ohio, and twelve of them get a page of their own, the same twelve that had one before. Nine services, nine products, your questions and your contact page carry over as they are.

Preliminary. We confirm the final page list with you in discovery. Every card above is a page of its own. Services, Products, About and Service Area are pages that also open as menus into the pages listed beneath them, and each of those four had a page on your pre-February site. The path under a card is the URL it held then. That puts the build at 37 pages: Home, Services and its nine, Products and its nine, About, Service Area and its twelve cities and counties, FAQ and Contact. Your blog sits on top of that, and neither it nor the articles we bring back in it count against the total. The plan covers all of it.

04 · Website

A modern, easy-to-use design

The proposed Doctor Flue homepage
A working first draft of your homepage. The menus open, the buttons respond, and the page moves the way it will on your site.
Design direction

Nothing here is final. We built it so you have something to react to instead of a description, and you approve the direction before we build any pages.

  • A new modern custom design

We will build you a brand-new website from the ground up, custom to your business and your audience. It will be built for both desktop and mobile users to ensure it is easy to use and accessible for everyone.

  • Easy for an older customer

Plenty of the homeowners who call you are older. Type you can read at arm's length, contrast that survives daylight, buttons that look like buttons, and your number in reach on every screen.

  • Fast on all devices

We optimize your website for speed and performance to ensure your visitors aren't waiting for something to load.

  • Built on the sitemap that ranked

We lay the new site out on your old sitemap, so the pages that carried your rankings exist again and can earn them back. We improve on them from there.

05 · Managed Hosting

Where your site actually lives.

Your traffic peaks in October, which is when a slow site or an outage costs you the most calls. Unlike shared hosting providers, the server your website runs on keeps its resources reserved for you rather than sharing them with other sites. We handle everything from the backups, the certificate, the firewall, and DNS, to the monitoring that flags a problem before you hear about it from a customer. All labor associated with maintaining a healthy server is covered, so it never turns into a separate invoice.

  • WordPress core and plugin updates, applied automatically
  • Custom port configuration, which insurers increasingly ask about
  • Wildcard SSL
  • Quarterly security scan with review

Reliability
  • A dedicated IP address, so other websites don't affect your reputation
  • Postmark email delivery, so a quote request reaches you reliably

Ticks are what your plan carries. Crossed items sit on a higher tier. Ask about any of them and we will price the step up.

What isn’t included in the hosting plan?

Labor outside the scope of hosting support generally includes changes to your website content/appearance/functionality, resolving incompatibility issues with the website resulting from upgrading the server/platform/plugins, debugging code, application-level security issues, marketing, and, in general, anything that requires code editing.

Why shouldn’t I host my website myself through GoDaddy or something similar?

Shared hosting servers are underpowered and unstable. This is why we use VPS servers with dedicated resources. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive suite of ancillary services designed to keep your website secure and operating at peak performance. Lastly, have you ever tried calling a hosting company for help when something goes wrong? Unlike them, we treat your website uptime, security, and performance as if it were our own.

Why should I choose Artonic to host my website?

Artonic has 21+ years of experience hosting websites, and our team of experts brings diverse backgrounds in IT, server management, database management, development, DNS, and more. We have yet to come across any other agency or hosting provider that covers all the bases we do, has the level of expertise we do, provides stellar support, and has a price even remotely close to ours.

06 · Support

Time on the books,
for whatever comes up.

Support is your reserved time to have our team make changes to your website. You get 10 hours per year for updates, design work, and consultation. We track it to the minute, and whatever you don't spend carries forward for as long as you're with us.

10hours per year

How it works
  • Tracked to the minute, with a 30-minute minimum for each request
  • The full 10 hours arrive at sign-up and again at each renewal
  • All unused hours roll over indefinitely, including any hours you buy along the way
  • Extra hours run $185 when you need more in a given 12-month period
On a higher tier
  • Shared Slack channel
  • Emergency evening support
  • Emergency weekend support
  • Priority levels 1 and 2
Good to know
  • Covers one website, the one we are building for you
  • Hours never lapse while you're with us, and they aren't refundable if you cancel
  • Hosting labor sits with the hosting plan, and does not take away from your support plan hours
Which Package Is Right for Me?

The primary distinguishing factor between our packages is the number of hours included in each plan, which ultimately affects the cost per hour. There is also a lower cost for purchasing additional hours as you go up in tiers. Other factors to take into account are the level of support that you need, such as emergency support during evenings and weekends, as well as our audit services to ensure your website is reviewed regularly for usability and security concerns.

Do You Round Your Time Up To The Nearest Hour?

All support time is tracked to the minute, however, there is a minimum amount of time per request, depending on the package – either 15 or 30 minutes.

Do Hours Roll Over?

Yes! All hours included in your plan - both the initial hours added at sign-up and each renewal, as well as any additional hours purchased - roll over indefinitely.

What Can My Hours Be Used For?

Support Plan hours can be used for website updates, graphic design, and consultation.

Can I Get a Refund For Unused Hours?

Sorry, there is no refund for unused hours in the event that you cancel.

Does Your Support Plan Include Hosting?

No. Instead, Artonic provides Managed Hosting separately as a companion subscription — which includes a full suite of DevOps services.

07 · The Process

How we get from here to launch.

One flow, built out into the major phases, ensures we build the website with speed and quality.

Four phases · about 10 weeks to launch Scroll
Week 1–2 Week 2–9 Week 10 Week 11+

Recovery & Discovery

First we stop the losses, then we plan the build:

  • We relaunch your previous website to restore the traffic to it.
  • We take over your Google Ads account and review what it spends, which search terms it buys, and where that budget could work harder.
  • We restore your support plan, so we are available to you for anything that is needed short term.
  • One working session with you where we listen to your design and content focus preferences.

Design & Build

We design it and build it. You approve it and we launch it:

  • Unique, custom design created specific to your brand and offerings.
  • 37 pages built on WordPress, plus click-to-call, a quote form and your certifications where a homeowner will see them.
  • The SEO-optimized content on your old website was working, so we will carry that over to the new site and make some enhancements along the way.
  • All of your original blog articles restored, including the 11 that earned the most traffic, along with your service and city pages. If a URL changes, we 301 redirect the old one to the new.

Review, QA & Launch

You see and approve the finished site before it goes live:

  • Cross-device and cross-browser QA on every page.
  • Every redirect tested against the live site, one URL at a time.
  • Your quote form submitted end to end, so we have watched a real inquiry reach your inbox.
  • Performance and accessibility verified against the target, then a managed cutover with monitoring in place.

Ongoing Support & Growth

After launch, your monthly plan keeps working:

  • Your Google Ads optimized every month, with search terms reviewed, negatives added and ad copy tested.
  • Support hours for updates, design and consultation, tracked to the minute and rolling forward.
  • Platform, plugin and server updates applied continuously, with uptime and your certificate monitored.
08 · Investment

One plan, one flat monthly price.

Everything in this proposal sits in one flat monthly amount over a four-year agreement, so you get a new site without writing a large check for it and a budget you can plan around. Add any of the “add-on” options below and your monthly total updates in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

The plan
Recovery, Website, Hosting, Support & Ads
  • Your previous website relaunched, to restore the traffic to it
  • Your analytics and conversion tracking repaired
  • Custom WordPress design and build, laid out for mobile alongside desktop
  • Every page in the proposed sitemap: 37 in all, plus your blog
  • All of your original blog articles restored, including the 11 that earned the most traffic
  • Your old site's SEO-optimized content carried over, with enhancements along the way
  • Google Ads managed and optimized monthly
  • Optimized for speed and performance on every device
  • A light refresh every four years and a full redesign every eight years

+$1,000/mo
+$1,500/mo
+$2,000/mo
+$1,000/mo
+$59/mo
What are the terms?

A 48-month agreement at $850 a month, billed monthly from kickoff, with a light refresh at the first renewal and a full redesign at the second renewal.

Is there anything to pay up front?

No. The build sits inside the monthly figure and billing starts at kickoff. There is no deposit and no separate design or development invoice.

How many pages does the plan cover?

The 37 pages in the sitemap, plus your blog. Beyond that, additional pages run $35 a month each. Neither the blog nor the articles we restore in it count against that total.

How does the ad spend work?

The monthly price covers our management of your Google Ads account. Google bills your advertising budget to you directly, so every dollar of it buys clicks. We recommend a monthly figure based on what your account already produces, and you set the ceiling and change it whenever you want.

Can I add or drop an add-on later?

Yes. Add-ons start and stop with a month’s notice, and your monthly budget adjusts accordingly.

What happens if I end the agreement early?

A buyout settles the remaining build at $350 for each month left on the term.

Who owns the website?

You do. The website, the content, the domain, and the Google Ads account are yours. (subject to the term being completed or buyout settlement being paid).
